Welcome to the second of our six monthly editions of the Hornsby Shire Visitors Guide.

Hornsby Shire is simply the best destination because it is so diverse offering visitors a wealth of variety.  And the Shire is less that an hour’s drive north of Sydney!

The HSV Guide provides exciting holiday and recreational info to make your getaway a memorable experience. We have featured lots of new and up-to-date information in this edition to ensure that you catch up with all the interesting events on offer in the Shire.  There is a sensational variety of events listed in our What’s On.

Hornsby Shire is famous for the beauty of its parks and gardens, its plant nurseries and local produce, and its history of indigenous life and European pioneering spirit. The Jewel in the Crown of the Hornsby Shire is undoubtedly Fagan Park with its Gardens of All Nations, historic Netherby Cottage and Rural Museum. It is a must see! Or you might like to take a mini road trip on the tourist drive to historic Wisemans Ferry at the very northern tip of the Shire.  Whatever floats your boat, why not do it on the Hawkesbury River?  Here you can hire a luxury houseboat or a tinny for a spot of fishing.   And your visit is not complete until you have tasted the local seafood!

With its 512 square kilometres to explore, Hornsby Shire is ‘too much fun to have in one day’, so we recommend that you linger longer!

Keep your copy of the Hornsby Shire Visitors Guide handy for ready reference.  Pages from the Guide can also be downloaded from our website www.hornsbyshirevisitorsguide.com.au

Enjoy you visit!
